My Motivation

What Motivates You??

Quotes. That's what motivates me. I read these and I get fired up...then I forget them. I wish they could be permanently embedded into my brain and that's what I hear what I want to eat crap.

Speaking of eating crap. Guess what I haven't ate? CRAP! Woop Woop...Besides my face feeling like its caving in from this sinus infection..I feel fantastic! My stomach feels lighter, my butt not as jiggly...this cleanse is the bomb. I even got a message from one of my customers today saying "Feeling great! I can't get over this stuff...It is amazing!". How awesome is that?!?!

So back to what motivates me...

We all talk about how lucky we are to have things and how blessed. By no means am I saying that is true...however, I try to remember that while I am so blessed to be healthy and have a healthy family that doesn't mean I should be okay with being fat. I've previously had conversations (at times I wasn't motivated to lose weight) and said I should just be thankful we're healthy and be okay with not being skinny. But in reality, is that okay? Because if I'm not in shape that means I get too tired to play with my kids or I'm worn out from feeling like junk because I'm eating junk. I am SOOO thankful my family is healthy but I also want to make sure it stays that way and the best thing I can do for my kids and family is to eat healthy, exercise, and show them that I am taking care of myself to be a better mom, wife, and person!

Aren't these two just freaking adorable???

LOVE them!

Drumroll please

Here she is...in all her beauty. My lifeline to beginning this weight loss journey. The All-In 24 Day Challenge was on my step when I got home and I was pretty stoked! (notice the ice...it's a windchill of -25 here):0

I opened the box...see below....

I forgot to take a picture but I took ziploc baggies and labeled day 1 through 10 and took everything I need to take and put it in the bag and wrote my instructions. No excuses folks!!

And...Lunch #1. Not going to lie...this chicken BLOWS...but i'm eating it cause that's what i'm supposed to do. It's dry..yuck.

Oh and I can't forget my omegaplex!

Plan of Attack

So...How do I plan to get all this weight off? Let me explain.

Has anyone heard of this IIFYM stuff?

Sure..but what the hell does it mean?

There's so many posts and articles and tips...not going to lie, I'm overwhelmed. But clearly it works..my fave blogger (Skinnymeg) is becoming the incredible shrinking women...therefore I must do this!

So here's what I've done:

1. Calculate your macros HERE. The macros you are most concerned about are your fats, proteins, carbs, and fiber. Here are some super helpful instructions I've found:

1. Enter your stats.
2. Choose Athletes formula UNLESS you've had your body fat professionally tested. Calipers don't count.
3. Choose your exercise level. Only count lifting. If you're a distance runner, only count your "long runs." If you're running a lot during the week I would count how many days you run and then divide by 2, count that many days as your exercise days. (Example: You run 4 days a week, I would count 2 days of exercise to put in the calculator.) This is my personal opinion!
4. Pick your weight loss goal. Choose Suggested... If you plateau, you can lower cals, but to start you want to eat as much as possible while still losing!
5. Enter in your values. Women should never go below .35g per lb bodyweight of fat! Protein shouldn't go below .8g per lb or bodyweight UNLESS you have 50lbs or more to lose, then you would use .7.
6. Click Calculate.

That said...Here are my macros:

Calories: 1984
Carbs: 170
Protein 153
Fat 77
Fiber 44-55

Basically...you look at the package and see how many grams one serving is, you measure it, then you put in in myfitnesspal, then you eat. That's it. Surely this can't be that hard?!

Now...let's get to work!

HOLLLLAAA

Day 2 of "attempting" to do IIFYM and guess what...the scale ACTUALLY MOVED! I just about fell off...It went to 219.4....Under 220. I call that a WIN!

Speaking of dinner...I made some DELICIOUS cauliflower mashed potatoes on Sunday.

Here goes nothing

About me:
30 year old
Mom of 2
Overweight 90% of my life
Up and down, up and down...you know the story:)

Baby #1 born in 2010
Lost around 60-70 pounds (30 of those were after I was introduced to Advocare!)
Ran a few 10k's, then battled through a half marathon (woohoo!)

Here we are...4 months post baby #2 and WE'VE GOT WORK TO DO!!!!

That's an Ugly Bitch right there (the #...not the toes..those are nasty too). I mean, sure its gone down, but not nearly enough for 4 months to get it off. Excuses range from "the reese's jumped in my mouth, it's Thanksgiving, it's Christmas, it's New Year's, I was drunk and we had steak n' shake after the concert..."...you've all heard em' and said em' yourself!

Now is the time to kick these habits. Exercise? I've got that shit down pat. I mean sure, I can do more and push harder, but I have NO PROBLEM to committing to a good workout. A salad though? YUCK. I have to force that shit down!.

Here I am in all my glory (no bikini pics yet folks, don't get too excited):

Don't mind the messy room. I work two jobs and have two kids...give me a break. No one is perfect;)

This blog is for me...sure for your entertainment and to ride this ride with me but I'm here to keep myself accountable. It's gonna be a long and bumpy one but I am GOING TO DO THIS. No more excuses, No more "but I deserve that blizzard", No more pity parties of "I wish I could buy Miss Me jeans and look cute". This time I AM ON A MISSION!!! 1st goal: 175 by 2016. That's reasonable right?

Here's my Weight Loss Goal chart in my bad-ass Erin Condren planner (send me your email and i'll give you a coupon code!)

Next up...my Plan of Attack!!! Stay tuned...
